Christmas Draw 2026
Our draw goes online
This year, we are making an exciting change to one of our best loved traditions, our Christmas Prize Draw is moving online.
For as long as many of us can remember, the draw has relied on paper tickets – printed, distributed, sold, tracked, and counted by hand by our trustees and volunteers. It is a job that we always grateful for getting done, but it also takes up a huge amount of unpaid time and money that could be spent directly on our cause instead.
From this year, the draw will be run entirely through ZEFFY, a fundraising platform that charities can use completely free of charge. Members will be able to buy their tickets online in just a few clicks and the draw itself will be conducted digitally, with results shared the same way.
Why we are making the change
-
Less admin, more mission. Selling and reconciling paper tickets takes many hours of volunteer and trustee time each year. Moving online frees that time up for the work that matters most.
-
No more printing costs. Tickets, promotional flyers and results flyers have all traditionally needed to be printed and distributed – a cost we can now put towards our members and beneficiaries instead.
-
No banking charges. Handling large volumes of cash and cheques from ticket sales comes with banking fees. An online platform removes this cost entirely.
-
A real saving for the charity. Altogether, we expect this change to save the charity approximately £2,000 a year – money that will go straight back into supporting our work.
