20th
Annual Sponsored Walk
in Roundhay Park, Leeds
on 7th September 2008
The
forecast was for torrential rain, but it didn't happen and the sun
shone on the wonderful people who came in their hundreds to walk
in aid of the Take Heart Charity. The walk was started by the Leeds
Rhino player Brent Webb, one of the finest full backs in the world
who represented his native New Zealand recently in the World Cup.
Among the walkers and representing people who could not attend personally,
was Mr Philip Kay, Cardiac Surgeon and Clinical Director of the
Yorkshire Heart Centre at Leeds General Infirmary.
Take
Heart thanks everyone who took part and can assure them that the
thousands of pounds they raised will indeed make a difference for
patients in the Yorkshire Heart Centre.
