Sunday 6th September 2015 saw the Take Heart 27th Sponsored Walk take place in the beautiful setting of Roundhay Park in Leeds. We were blessed with fantastic weather and many walkers came along to take a leisurely walk around the park - each choosing their distance. We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Judith Chapman, who came along to officially start the walk. She had every intention of taking part in the walk but the temporary addition of a pair of crutches put paid to that! The Lord Mayor paid her membership fee to join Take Heart and also made a private donation for which we are very grateful. She promises to be back next year as “Mrs Chapman” to take part in the walk. Many regular faces were recognised as well as many new ones. It was also gratifying to see so many young people take part. Here are some of the photographs of the event. Click on any photo to enlarge. Many thanks to all who attended. We love you all.Bill Stevenson
