TAKE HEART TAKE HEART ROOF GARDEN REFURBISHED AND REOPENED
The Take Heart Roof Garden has been closed for several months for refurbishment Take Heart financed new all-weather decking, seating, plants and shrubs bringing our total expenditure on the garden in excess of £150,000.00. Leeds NHS Trust have also installed glass screens all round for comfort and safety. The results are stupendous and provide an even better retreat for patients, staff and visitors, away from the hustle and bustle of the wards. The all weather decking will allow the garden to be open for longer - although we can’t prevent its occasional brief closure to allow helicopters to land on the helipad one floor up! In May, we were delighted to welcome Maggie Boyle, Chief Executive of the Leeds NHS Trust to officially re-open the roof garden and the photographs show several of the Take Heart Trustees at the ceremony.
