Hundreds of people turned up at Roundhay Park to take part in the 24th Annual
Sponsored Walk, raising money for the Take Heart Charity.
The weather wasn’t too hot but ideal for walking and mums, dads,
grandparents, doctors and nurses, kids and dogs all came along to walk as
little as a mile and as much as twelve miles. The charity look forward to
raising several thousand pounds from this event and send their grateful
thanks to everyone who took part.
The event this year was slightly marred by the absence (for the first time in
24 years) of the chairman, Colin Pullan, who was indisposed.
