2005 was the school's 70th anniversary and to celebrate, we were thrilled to have with us a number of very important visitors.

Miss Beryl Davies, our school's founder and headmistress for over forty years (who is now in her nineties) joined us, along with the Lord Mayor of Leeds and the Lady Mayoress, governors, previous staff and headteachers.

To mark the occasion, the Lord Mayor planted a tree in the new seating area near the pavilion and the children entertained our guests in a selection of musical items from their repertoire. The civic party spent some time touring the school with our Head Boy and Girl and School Council members were given the opportunity to ask the Mayor questions about his job.
