The Yorkshire Heart Centre is based in Leeds General Infirmary with some services at St James’s Hospital. Take Heart has been operational for more than twenty years and in that time, has raised nearly three million pounds to make a difference for patients, relatives and staff. The charity is run on a completely voluntary basis with only a tiny percentage of funds used for operating expenses. The trustees meet regularly to organise fund raising and make arrangements to fund projects which will make life a little more comfortable and pleasant for patients at a stressful time in their lives.
